I am getting a lot of questions and interest on this. Is the Natural Caesarean that has had so much positive feedback from all over the world, possible for twins and breech birth?
The answer to this question is YES in a slightly modified form.
The baby or babies should be fully grown with no worries about their heartbeats.
The procedure of caesarean starts as normal with all safety precautions in place.
You can bring in your own pillow to lie on,wear your own top, play your own music, dim peripheral lighting.
During the beginning of the surgery a surgical curtain is put up so you do not see the surgeons at the beginning opening up your skin, before going through to your womb. When your baby is nearly ready to be born a suctioning noise is heard as the amniotic fluid is collected and you will feel some rummaging around in your abdomen but not pain. The top of your bed is then elevated upwards and the surgical curtain dropped for you to see your little babys head followed by his/her body being born.Photographs can be taken of the birth.
The difference for a breech birth is that you see the baby bottom first and the body will not be delivered as slowly as in our original description ( The natural caesarean:a woman centred technique), this is because the babys head is last and although baby receives oxygen through the cord it is important for the baby to breathe through his/her lungs quickly after birth.
Similarly, with twins the mother can watch both babies being born but each baby is born a little bit more quickly to ensure that each baby breathes air.
If baby/or babies are well at birth they can go directly skin to skin with the mother and kept warm next to mothers breasts, with close observation.
If a mother requires to have a general anaesthetic in planned caesarean photographs and or a video is very helpful for the mother to watch her baby/baby birth if at all possible.
Have you watched the Natural Caesarean video already – if not you can watch it here now! Please do leave comments for us and let us know what you think!

Where or how could I book in to receive a natural cesarean like the one in the vidio?
I have a family history of terrifying and horrific births and being the same shape am absolutly terrified about being pregnant and want to have the option of this type of cesarean if I just don’t think i’m able to do it. II know my body better than anyone else and so far feel that this is by far the option I would choose If i can.
I live in Hove in brighton. I also live in Pimlico in London.
